De-mystifying Commissioning and Procurement

T3SC trainingT3SC are organising a series of learning sessions for the voluntary and community sector of Tameside to increase the sector’s chances of winning public service delivery tenders. These sessions are free but places are limited. 

We are being supported in running these events by Tameside’s Joint Commissioning team, so take advantage of this golden opportunity to get to know the Commissioners and hear directly what makes a good tender.

  • Work through a checklist to make sure you’ve got everything you will need

  • Put together a pack for your organisation that will help you when you next fill in a pre qualification questionnaire / organisational questionnaire

Tendering tips

  • Understand what makes a good answer to a question

  • Learn some tips of the trade

  • Understand the common pitfalls and how to avoid them

  • Get to know the process of tendering in detail and what is expected

May Day showcase event - Health Partnerships

This event is an opportunity to discover what current work is going on around procurement, commissioning and health from Greater Manchester's third sector and examine ways of building positive partnerships. For more information see the GMVCO website

Child Protection Training dates at T3SC  Tameside Safeguarding Children logo
14 May 2008 - 6pm-9pm

10am-1pm

This is a basic awareness raising session in promoting welfare and safeguarding children. Its aim is to enable participants to recognise concerns about children and respond appropriately.
By the end of the course you will:

  • Be aware of what is meant by child abuse and neglect

  • Be aware of your role in keeping children safe.

  • Be able to take the right steps to protect children.

  • Be able to provide a safe environment for the children you work with.

  • The session involves some Power Point presentation, group work, flip chart work and exploring scenarios.

If you can't make these dates in order that you can access it anytime the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board invested £5000 in an e-learning package.
